Quividi announces that it is featured in the latest French edition of the SMARTreport on Digital Signage, issued in June 2006.
Published several times in the year by the Cleverdis consulting company, this reference document is printed in 12,000 copies and distributed to all the people currently or potentially involved in digital signage : network operators, announcers, manufacturers, publishers and service companies.
The document exposes the market trends, shares thoughts, presents case studies, lists best practices and offers a roaster of key players
In the Audience Measurement section (page 9), the Quividi solution is described as such:
"A promising recent approach makes it possible to get a precise audience measurement directly from the player, in real time. It relies on the detection of the human looks which were aimed to a digital signage screen. Using a small CCD sensor fixed just above the screen, or integrated within, a video stream is sent to algorithms which count the number of faces and compute their attention span, which is then crossed with the video loop as-run-log. These genuine numbers are available immediately and let announcers amend the communication campaign if needs be. Quividi, a pioneer in this approach, enlarges the usefulness of this setting by making it possible to qualify the viewers (by gender, age bracket, etc.) ; to communicate with the player so that it plays the most appropriate media for the current viewers ; to make the video react to movements and positions of the viewers in order to bring a natural interactivity. Its system records no image and makes no nominative analysis, thus protecting the viewers’ privacy."
