Levallois, June 3rd 2008 – Médiamétrie, France's leading audience rating company, announces today that it is experimenting the audience measurement of Equidia, the "horse TV channel" in some turf clubs owned by horse racing operator PMU, in Paris and Lyon.
Equidia is broadcasted in France on satellite, cable and ADSL TV, but also through 7,500 bars and turf clubs in France. Equidia's General Manager, Eric Brion, is quoted saying that this new innovative measurement will let the TV channel better assess the reality of its audience.
Médiamétrie is relying on Quividi's VidiReports and VidiCenter technology, which it has embedded in an offering called Screen Contact. Screen Contact was introduced in July 2007, and has already been deployed by Mediametrie in several confidential projects in France.
