CONTEXT

Context

Despite the growth of e-commerce, 96% of off-premise alcohol sales still happen in physical stores. In-store marketing in that category had little way of knowing whether shoppers engaged with the content in front of them, or whether it moved any product.

Gomme Media, founded by former Condé Nast veterans, built a retail media network for liquor stores on a specific hypothesis: that editorial content, not just advertising, is what earns a shopper's attention.

DEPLOYMENT

Deployment

Glass-Media designed and engineered custom freestanding screens that fit varied store formats. Quividi measured engagement with both the editorial content and the advertising, in real time.

WHAT CHANGED

What changed

Combining editorial with store-specific content increased attention time on screen, advertising included, by up to 34%. Every beta advertiser recorded a measurable increase in sales.

Attention is earned by what surrounds the ad, and that can be measured.
