CONTEXT

Context

Traditional DOOH is built on the opportunity to see: the possibility that someone might notice an ad. Success is measured in reach and frequency, the audience walks past, and the content is a flat 2D exposure.

Hologram Media Network set out to sell something different. Its holographic installations, powered by Proto Holograms across 46 premium malls in partnership with Simon, Brookfield and Macerich, deliver 30 to 60 second immersive experiences with interactivity, stereo sound and QR engagement, the first interactive format available inside a standard ad loop. Brands including Warner Bros, Netflix and Converse have run on it.

A format that claims engagement rather than exposure has to prove it. Without measurement, immersive media gets filed as spectacle instead of evaluated as inventory.

DEPLOYMENT

Deployment

Quividi measures the network at high definition: not only how many people were reached, but which direction they approached from, how close they came, how long they stayed, and how long they actually watched. That turns three separate claims into three sets of numbers.

Contextual. The network delivers 11 million monthly impressions across flagship malls, with Gen Z and Millennial audiences making up 80% of viewers, a segment notoriously hard to reach through traditional media. Mall visitors are browsing rather than commuting, and average dwell reaches 17 seconds against a standard DOOH benchmark of around 10.

Screen. 57% of the audience views the installation from the left or right, viewability that autostereoscopic systems cannot offer. 19% of passers-by pay attention, and visitors spend a third of their time within 20 feet of the activation.

Content. Three times more people watch for 10 seconds or more than on traditional mall screens, and each content play generates an average of 8 impressions, peaking above 10 through the afternoon.

WHAT CHANGED

What changed

Measured on classic DOOH metrics alone, the network already performs: strong impression reach, high dwell, robust impression multipliers. That was never the interesting part.

What the measurement made sellable was the quality of the exposure rather than its quantity. Audience behaviour is the proof point: people walk toward these screens rather than past them, and the data says so in the language buyers already use.

The difference between an opportunity to see and a connection is not a claim. It is a measurement.
